UK Theatre Museum – Closure Threat

The Stage Online reported today that the UK’s National Theatre Museum has failed to secure vital funding from the Lottery Heritage Fund.

The museum based in London’s historic Covent Garden boasts some of the finest collections of Theatre artifacts worldwide, including many costumes and model-boxes. The funding problems may mean a move from the Covent Garden site taking the museum away from one of London’s prime tourist hotspots and indeed from the heart of London Theatre.
