The Edward Gordon Craig Lecture

Christopher Oram is an award-winning stage and costume designer. His acclaimed work includes extensive collaboration with the director Michael Grandage at the Sheffield Crucible, the Donmar Warehouse and other theatres across the UK and internationally. For the Donmar, his projects include Red (also Broadway) Frost/Nixon (also West End & Broadway), Guys and Dolls (Piccadilly and Australian tour) and Caligula (for which he won the 2003 Evening Standard Award for Best Design). He has recently designed Glyndebourne Festival’s production of Benjamin Britten’s Billy Budd, and future projects include the National Theatre’s production of Danton’s Death by Georg Büchner, and Stephen Sondheim’s Passion at the Donmar.
