Professor Malcolm Griffiths

We learnt late last night that Director, writer and theatre design academic Professor Malcolm Griffiths died on Tuesday morning. We have no further details at this point but will do our best to keep you updated where possible.

Malcolm was a celebrated director, writer and translator of operas and plays. He was also instrumental in the development of the BA (Hons) Theatre Design course at the Nottingham Trent University where he is remembered for his lively and often unorthodox lectures… in one he famously burst into dance complete with waving handkerchiefs.

He will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered.
